Knight games: castles and the Middle Ages
Ramparts, drawbridges, coats of arms, tournaments and village markets: welcome to the age of knights. Defend a castle, build a tower, recognize coats of arms or take on the challenges of a young squire: the Middle Ages are told at a child's level, with their trades (blacksmith, miller, builder), castle life and festivals, without bloody battles. Strategy, organization and patience are often in the spotlight, because you build and protect more than you fight. The most curious pick up words along the way that they'll meet again in class, the day the Middle Ages are on the curriculum: keep, moat, lord, armor, minstrel.
