Holiday and seasonal games: Christmas, Easter, Halloween

Snowmen in winter, egg hunts in spring, sandcastles in summer, fallen leaves and pumpkins in the fall: these games follow the calendar. Decorate a tree, prepare a birthday party, fill a sack with presents or dress up for carnival: each season has its game. Younger kids learn to find their way through the year, name the seasons and months, and understand that holidays come back year after year. They also discover that traditions change from one country to another. Halloween pumpkins stay smiling. Bringing out a seasonal game at the right time, when the view out the window matches it, makes it even more meaningful.
