Brain games: puzzles and logic

Here, you play with your head rather than with fast fingers. You put pieces back where they belong, slide blocks, connect shapes or find the only solution that works. Most of the time there's no rush: you can look, try, make mistakes and start again as many times as you like. With each riddle you solve, your reasoning gets stronger, and so does your patience; you also learn to picture things in space and to plan one move ahead. Some brain teasers can be solved from age 5 or 6, while others give players aged 9 and up a real challenge. A tip for when you're stuck: explain out loud what you've already tried. Saying it often shows you what's missing.
