Simulation and care games

Taking the place of someone who looks after others or does a real job: that's the heart of simulation games. You can feed, brush and care for an animal, bandage a small scrape, cook a meal or drive a vehicle, following the steps in the right order. Real life is simplified and told with tenderness: you understand what a living creature needs and why each step matters. Empathy, a sense of responsibility, patience and attention to detail develop naturally. From 4 or 5, you mostly move forward by tapping and dragging. Before a visit to the vet or the doctor, these games make the gestures familiar and can reassure a worried child.
