About the game
In Butterfly Flight, you guide a little butterfly across the countryside, from the flowery meadow to the giant sunflower where its friends are waiting. The flowers are your platforms: every flap of your wings uses up a little energy, so you have to land to get it back. Along the way, animals that love to snap up butterflies lie in wait: pond frogs, blue tits, spiders, lizards sunbathing, dragonflies, jumping fish, bats, mantises hiding in the tall grass and hedgehogs. The scenery changes too: prickly brambles, gusts of wind, tulips that close, dandelion puffs, bouncy mushrooms, floating leaves, a rain shower and a night lit by fireflies. A short animated scene shows each new thing, and the stars you win unlock eight wing patterns.
How to play
The goal: reach the giant sunflower at the end of each level. With your finger, touch the right side of the screen to flap towards the right, and the left side to go left; keep your finger down to fly for longer. On a keyboard, use the left and right arrow keys, the up arrow or Space to rise straight ahead, and Esc or P to pause. Land on flowers to refill your energy bar. You have 3 hearts: an animal, the brambles or a fall into the water makes you lose one. Arriving earns 1 star, the 3 golden pollens a second one, and losing no hearts the third. The game has 24 levels.
