Games for kids aged 5 and 6
Between 5 and 6, children are starting school in earnest: they recognize letters, begin to read, count higher and higher and love taking on challenges. All the games on this page are recommended from age 5 or 6. Many combine several small rules, level-by-level progress and stars to earn, which makes you want to try again to do better. Memory, attention, logic, precise movements and the first things learned at school all get a chance to practice. Some instructions still need a little help with reading: a grown-up or an older sibling can read them the first time, then let the child spread their wings.
