Aiming well matters more than anything. You throw a ball, a dart or a bubble at a target, choose the power and the angle, then watch where your shot lands to correct the next one. No realistic violence: you aim at targets, balloons, bubbles or objects. These skill games build concentration and a feel for trajectories. Without knowing it, you even take your first steps in physics, watching a ball rise, slow down and fall back. They're played from about age 6; shots with bounces or wind take more thinking and appeal to older kids. The best practice? Calmly working out why a shot missed, rather than trying again at random.
